Bank of Canada 1973 $5 bills…value?
I have some (not too many) old, circulated Bank of Canada $5 bills dated 1973. I went to the bank to see about converting to dollars and the book they looked up the value in for the conversion suggested the money would be worth more as a collectible. What’s the best, safest route to take about cashing out?

The bills have a probable over the counter value of $5. You may be able to get more, but only from a coin / currency dealer as a collectable. See a dealer for valuation.
