I want to reborn a doll and its difficult to find good info and suppliers. Everything is American! Suggestions
My daughter watched the “My Fake Baby” programme on C4 and desparately wants one of these dolls. I refuse to spend hundreds of pounds on a doll so we’ve compromised and I’ve promised to “reborn” one for her…….. it’s not as easy as I thought!!! I can’t even find UK suppliers anywhere locally and bidding on ebay soon gets expensive! My first problem is finding a supplier of liquid dye – all UK dyes seem to be in powder form which causes some problems. Also I don’t want to use Genesis paints because I’m using an older type doll and I don’t want to bake it! I want to use acrylic paints but can’t find specific info on using them. Anyone tried reborning this way and have any tips for me?
ps. Please don’t reply with “want a baby, give birth to one” as noted in another reply to similar question. I have one baby, the other seven all died so I’m not going down that path again. Hysterectomy kind of puts a stop to that anyway. Thank you. Nilly X

nice to hear from someone with the same interest as me! ive just started doing this as well. i bought a dvd from ebay and also a cd. this shows you how to” reborn” from start to finish. it only cost £12.99 altogether and was worth every penny. it shows which dolls are best, what paints to buy, how to mix and apply, purple washing, rooting hair etc etc i found it great because it suggests places for supplies etc as well.
just type the word “reborn” in under all categories and it will come up with loads. also if you type “reborn instructions”on the web with uk sites only you will find useful links there. hope this helps and good luck with the reborning !
