Has anyone used the Scotty Potty training doll?

It seems so cute and actually might work. What is your experience?

I’ve actually never tried the Scotty Potty training doll because of something I heard a child psychologist say on TV. He advised a parent who was concerned that her child wasn’t potty trained early enough that going to the potty is one thing that kids have total control over, and that at some point, they will sell out for something they really want.

I tried a number of strategies when my son was potty training that didn’t work, to include bribing him. My son is REALLY into Thomas the Tank Engine, and after I watched the psychologist discuss the matter, I offered my son a Thomas toy and the Dr. was right on the money. I rewarded him with a Thomas toy after the next two trips to the potty, then I switched to Thomas stickers or 5 M&Ms for every trip after, and he was potty trained in no time.
