What memory card whould I get for my Cannon Powershot 12.1 mega pixel camera?

I need one that has 16 MD or higher. What the difference between brands and SD versus SDHC. I have my eye on a PNY 16 GB for like 50 bucks. Is this a good choice. Thanks for any feedback.

I would never use a card that big. It would hold thousands and thousands of pictures and take forever to upload. And if the card should become corrupted, you would lose an awful lot of pictures.

SD goes up to 2 GB, and SDHC goes from 4 GB on up. You need to know what type of card your camera can use. Look in your manual.

I would get several 2 GB cards, or at the most, 4 GB.
