Not all girls embrace latest black Barbie doll, say Mattel toys went too far with rap-detail?

People are ridiculous. There are plenty of black Barbies out there that aren’t hip hop related, and people bitch about them too… If you don’t like it, don’t buy it! It’s that simple and it’s not racist.
People got all out of joint when Barbie first released “Black Barbie” which was basically a regular Barbie with Black hair and extra brown dye in the plastic. Byron Lars, an African American clothing designer, released his “Treasures of Africa Colection” a range of collector dolls with distinct tribal influences, and people got upset because they thought he was depicting all black people as having elongated necks and extravagant hair styles.
For every playline Barbie that Mattel releases, they release a black and hispanic version, they are dressed and accessoried exactly the same as the caucasian doll, but with ethnically accurate features and skin tones. Recently people started freaking about that because Wal-Mart lowered the price of the hispanic dolls because they weren’t selling.
This line is supposed to be a line of young black girls who dress a little hip hop and trendy, which is NOT uncommon.
Hell, I wear RocaWear sunglasses, and they do have white hairstylist Barbies, and I can tell you I see girls dressed EXACTLY like these dolls in Toronto every single day. Look at the pictures before you judge!
