I used to sew for a hobby. But now I get sick even thinking of it…?

I used to design and make my own doll clothes. And I was good except for the fact that I did not own a serger and my seams were not finished. At first I was working with a doll that was very new to the market and did not “take off”. And when I went to sell the stuff, I had to give it away at less than the accessories even cost.
Since then, I feel like what I do is worthless. I don’t even want to go near the machine. Although now I am working with popular collectible dolls. (American Girl, Magic Attic etc.)
Now instead of being happy with sewing my own stuff I purchase clothes on ebay and half of them don’t even fit.

I hadn’t stitched since I was 14, and my bf brought me a sewing machine for my birthday. I hadn’t used it much, and wasn’t interested in major projects. And it seemed such an effort to unpack my machine when I decided I wanted to use it.

I enrolled in a beginners dressmakers course and I have found a passion for sewing. I was spending 2 hours a week in a class of like minded women and had a great time. I have now enrolled in the intermediate course with the same teacher and group of women with the intention of finding a seamstress job once I have completed the other courses.

I suggest you join a sewing circle or see if there is any courses starting in January.
