Women seem to come across as empty headed selfish consumerist idiots in the SATC films.
Does it upset women that Gay men playing with life size Barbie dolls depict women this way?
Every time I see or read anything of that genre, it convinces me that women’s rights have taken a retrograde step ; these self- obsessed mercenary b****es remind me of empty- headed Edwardian debutantes whose main preoccupations in life were who could afford the best hat, or where to find the wealthiest ‘ suitor’. Not a very ‘ modern’ message to pass on to the current generation of girls. And unfortunately, these young women who follow the SATC cult are gullible enough to swallow the lot….
So, yes, it is offensive to women who have a brain, like me . The great thing is, if we want to, we can studiously avoid and ignore it, and personally, I take wanton delight in doing that, and ‘ blanking’ anyone foolish enough to thik I’m remotely interested in having a conversation about it , ha ha ha
