What paint color should I go with in my dinning room?
I live in a house that is over 100 years old. It has plaster walls, but they are in good shape as it was built by a doctor and is not some farm house. The woman I bought the house from has some interesting taste to say the least. Currently my dinning room has faded mauve carpet. I do not want to replace it yet as I have young children and would rather wait a few years as spills are still frequent. With this mauve carpet is blue diamond shaped wallpaper with 18 inch china doll boarder! I don’t find this nice at all for a dinning room and want to remove it and paint. This room still has the original 18 inch trim that is a medium to dark color, and my dinning room furniture is a dark color. I was thinking of yellow as it goes good with the furniture, but I don’t want to make the carpet look worse then pink carpet already is! Any suggestion or color idea’s would be great!! The ceiling is white ceiling tiles, so I can’t really do anything with that!
I like your choice of a yellow. You may want to make it a light gold ?
