shirely temple doll experts?

I want to buy my sister a special shirely temple doll for her 50th birthday.
I’ve been looking at the early composition ones.
I’ve found a lovely one but the seller says it is a “Prototype” but that it has markings on back of head whereas I’ve read on a Shirley Temple Site that the very first ones had the marking “inside the head”?
Does anyone have the right answer?
Much appreciated if you do with a good source.

I love shirley temple dolls I think this is a great gift. I have two mint in the box from the 30’s. There are some great books just on Shirley Temple dolls she was made by ideal. They are not marked on the inside of the head only on the back and on the back of the head. Also their is a small number on the inside of each arm and leg that corresponds to the height of the doll. They did come out with a first edition of the doll and then the head was redesigned some.
