Collectible Dolls Uk
Are there any reliable UK based websites selling well priced collectible barbie dolls?
I particularly like the look of the Silk stone Barbie dolls. I’m aware that these are collectible and therefore on the pricey side, however I’m new at this and don’t want to get had! I have looked on Ebay and this is great, I’m just wondering if there is a trustworthy distributor in the UK selling collectible barbies? Or any reliable websites people may already know of which may sell them, aside from Ebay??

I have collected Barbies for quite some time and would honestly say that ebay is your best bet. There ARE sites of reputable sellers but they are predominantly US based as there doesnt seem to be such a great demand for collectable Barbie over here in the UK.
The Silkstone dolls are pricey because of their composition and the fact they have more detail and are a more ‘premium’ collectors doll than a regular boxed special edition such as a repro. Having said that, if you do your homework and lots, and lots of research, you can pick them up for as little as twenty pounds…bargains do exist!
Before you start collecting, try to limit yourself to one particular era/style of doll and remember to budget! I went mad the first few years and literally bought every doll I could lay my hands on!
Ive looked for Barbie UK forums and cant really find any ;( but there are plenty of Sindy forums as she was a British doll…not that that helps much!
Ive just googled and found a few dealers with Silkstones in stock (prices not too bad actually!) but it didnt throw up much else apart from ebay!
