how do i paint ceramic kitchen canisters they’re white antique finish would be nice?

i have some glass paints small ones
how do i achieve an antique look
kind of brown /goldish color?
or a good site w/ step by step
or ideas stencils????

Any time I paint something glass I start out with the spray on automobile primer (that red looking kind)…that makes the paint cling tight. I would put the white on first and then put a yellow/brown glaze over the top and spray with poly…of course, this will have to be carefully wiped down to be cleaned…not put in water and washed….believe it or not, you can spray plastic with this and make it hold paint too..I have had great success with this primer and painting stuff!!!! It is amazing! I purchased 2 Chinese “lions” made of the heavy plastic stuff to go at my front door…I sprayed them with the primer and painted them to look like Cinnabar…trimmed out to with “gold” and “jade” and then sprayed them over with some poly…my goodness…the effect is amazing!!!!
